In modern times,”stress” is the biggest monster we have to combat with in everyday life Just about everybody—men, women, children and even unborn fetuses—suffer from stress. Demanding relationships, chronic health problems, work pressures , traffic snarls, meeting deadlines, growing-up tensions or a sudden bearish trend in the course can trigger stress conditions. People react to it in their own ways. In some people, stress induces adverse feelings and anxieties which tend to persist and intensify..Extreme stress conditions, psychologists say, are detrimental to human health. Today, with the rapid diversification of human activity, we come face to face with numerous causes of stress and the symptoms of stress and drepression. Learning to understand and manage stress can prevent the counter effects of stress You can learn to avoid your "stress-building" thoughts and replace them with alternative "stress-busting" thoughts! Here's 10 good ways to handle your stress:

1.Assure yourself

Try talking to yourself. You can decrease your stress by learning to talk to yourself in a reassuring way. This is what "stress-busting" is about--getting your thoughts back on a reassuring track.

2.Think Positive

Combating negative thoughts and replacing them with positive ones takes practice, but the results are worth it. Don't think that you can never finish this project on time, instead think if I stay focused and concentrate, I'll make steady progress.

6.Wish or greet people

Start your morning with greeting “good morning” to people you meet. Keep a track of your friends' and colleagues' birthdays which you tend to forget,Send them a card and wish. Send a Thank you card or wish “Good Day” just to see how happy and stress-free you feel at the end of the day.

7.Listen to soothing music

Play some music that moves you. Stop what you're doing for a few minutes and really listen to the music. When you continue work, you'll feel refreshed. This will also reduce the stress level.

8.Stretches and slow breathing

Try a few simple stretches to drive stress away. Find yourself a quiet spot (the toilets will do if there's no where else suitable) and spend a few moments stretching out your arms and legs. Relax and shake out your arms and legs when you're finished.Take a moment to breath slowly and deeply. Fill your lungs then exhale completely. Just a few deep breaths will make you feel much calmer.

9.Achieve Balance and say no:

Learn to say no to offers of overtime, if it will interfere with quality time with your family. For the same reason, resist the temptation to work at weekends if you can. Balance your priorities. Earning enough to pay the bills is important, but not as important as investing time in your family.

10.Make priority lists:

Help yourself to do a better job by preparing a list of things to do in the course of each day. Make preparing it your first job, or the last of the previous day. Then make a note of the priority of each task on the list. A good plan is to find the most important and put a figure "1" by it. Then look for the next most important and mark it "2", and so on.
